Vitebsk athletes performed successfully at the open championship of Russia in chanbara

The Belarusian national team took part in the Russian Open Chanbara Championship.

Yaroslav Kolotovsky from Vitebsk twice climbed to the top of the podium, becoming the strongest in duels with two-handed swords, as well as with a short sword and shield. Among women, 16-year-old Sofya Dubchinskaya, who also trains in Vitebsk, had no equal in fights with paired weapons.

In total, Belarusian athletes won more than 20 medals of various denominations. This type of martial arts has been developing in Belarus for only the second year, but it is already gaining increasing popularity.
