The installation of the "Cosmos-535" apparatus has completed the modernization of the X-ray department of the Novopolotsk city hospital

The modernization of the X-ray department of the surgical building of the Novopolotsk City Hospital has been completed with the installation of a modern digital X-ray machine "Kosmos-535", as reported by the local district executive committee.

The installed X-ray diagnostic complex for two workstations is equipped with a high-frequency generator and microprocessor control, manufactured in Belarus. The structural capabilities of the machine significantly reduce the radiation dose and make it easy to operate. The highest efficiency of this equipment is achieved in combination with an automatic film processor, which allows for saving images in a database and transmitting graphic and text information to other institutions via information networks.

The cost of the "Kosmos-535" X-ray machine is about Br638.4 million. The machine was obtained through centralized procurement by the Ministry of Health of Belarus using funds from the republican budget. All construction and installation work was completed within the project deadlines and in accordance with sanitary norms and rules for the modernization of X-ray rooms. The room, reopened after modernization, includes a procedure room and a control room, equipped with a wardrobe and a staff lounge, and a sanitary unit for people with disabilities. "This is a long-awaited event, as the old X-ray machine was morally and physically obsolete, and its service area was quite extensive. The surgical building receives patients from the inter-district trauma and surgical departments and all those who are admitted to the hospital with injuries at night. Now the quality of their service will noticeably improve," emphasized the healthcare institution.
