Natural gas has been supplied to the agro-town of Drozd, Beshenkovichi district
In particular, to supply a new type of fuel to Drozd, gas workers built 3 km of networks. 12 apartments in three residential buildings, previously powered by a liquefied gas tank, have been converted to it. Local agro-industrial complex facilities also have this opportunity.
The leadership of the Vitebsk region participated in the solemn commissioning ceremony of natural gas.
— The gasification of Drozd is one of the large-scale measures being carried out in the region to make rural life more comfortable. It will contribute to the return of youth to their small homeland after studies, the emergence of new industries and jobs, and improvement of living conditions. Therefore, we need to accelerate work in this direction, — said the Chairman of the Regional Executive Committee, Nikolay Sherstnev.
— At one of the receptions of citizens about six months ago, local residents approached me with a request for a gas pipeline. The head of the gas economy of the Vitebsk region met them halfway, and specialists quickly and efficiently completed the task. — Local residents have long awaited the opportunity to use natural gas. It is gratifying that recently we have been meeting with people more often on similar occasions, — emphasized the Chairman of the Regional Council of Deputies, Vladimir Terentyev.
By the Decree of the President of the Republic of Belarus of June 2, 2006 No. 368, state support is provided for the construction of street distribution gas pipelines for gasification consumer cooperatives, amounting to up to 70% of the cost of works. Citizens can also take advantage of preferential loans issued by Belarusbank for a period of up to 2 years at 3% per annum.
