In Belarus, the state order for grain sales has been increased to 1 million 25 thousand tons

The state order this year is 1 million 25 thousand tons of grain and 175 thousand tons of rapeseed for the compound feed industry, the department of resources and trade of the Department of Grain Products of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food told a BELTA correspondent. Last year, the state order was 990 thousand tons of grain and 149 thousand tons of rapeseed for the compound feed industry. Thus, the state order for grain sales increased by 3.5%. This year, 570 thousand tons of wheat are to be accepted, which is 88 thousand tons more than last year (482 thousand tons), 300 thousand tons of rye (its volume is maintained at last year's level) and 155 thousand tons of other crops, including groats (last year it was planned to procure 208 thousand tons). As explained by the specialists of the department, the state order for wheat has been significantly increased due to its demand in the domestic market for baking and pasta production. As past practice shows, farms in the republic cope well with the increased task of supplying this main food crop to the state reserve. As for rye grain, 300 thousand tons is the optimal volume needed to meet the needs of the domestic market. The volume of other crops compared to last year decreased by 53 thousand tons, which also has objective reasons. In recent years, the planned high volume of grain for this group, over 200 thousand tons, could not be fulfilled. Therefore, this year, the optimal volume of other crops in the state order has also been determined, taking into account the established practice of previous years. Other crops include supplies of triticale, buckwheat, millet, barley and oats for groats. Trial batches of new crop grain have begun to arrive at the elevators and grain reception points of the republic. The quality of the grain is being checked. Mass delivery against the state order will most likely begin on August 1. Grain deliveries against the state order will be under the special control of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food, and the heads of agricultural organizations bear personal responsibility. Grain processing organizations plan to procure and simultaneously place over 3 million tons of grain and rapeseed, which is 500 thousand tons more than last year. In addition to the state order for food grain, grain will be accepted for the production of compound feed, in settlement, for tolling purposes, etc. 85 organizations will participate in the harvest procurement of 2011, including 21 grain processing plants, 11 compound feed plants, 10 grain reception enterprises, 4 procurement elevators, and 39 production sites. All procurement enterprises of grain processing are ready to receive the new crop grain. For the placement of grain and rapeseed, 3268.7 thousand tons of elevator and warehouse capacities will be used in grain processing organizations. This year, it is planned to build 128 thousand tons of grain storage capacity. As of July 1, 45 thousand tons of capacity have been commissioned. In addition, it is planned to rent capacity for 97.8 thousand tons from third-party organizations for the full placement of grain.-0-
