August 29, Minsk /Vladimir Matveev - BELTA/. It is planned to increase the first-category tariff rate in Belarus. This was stated by President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko, speaking with a report at the meeting of the pedagogical asset of Belarus, BELTA correspondent reports.

According to the President, the main principle of state policy in Belarus is the interests of the people. "We will not offend people, even in this difficult period. On my instructions, the government has developed and will adopt a number of measures in the coming days for the social protection of various segments of the population," said the Belarusian leader.

In particular, it is planned to pay state employees and non-working pensioners a one-time financial assistance of Br500 thousand for the seasonal purchase of agricultural products.

"Then it is planned to increase the first-category tariff rate for the payment of labor of employees of budget organizations. Benefits for families raising children will grow quarterly. In the fourth quarter of this year, a twofold increase in the lump-sum benefit for the birth of a child is expected. Pensions and scholarships will also increase," the President reported.

"We will continue to keep the situation in the economy and social sphere under control," the Belarusian leader added.-0-
