The development of a draft plan for economic liberalization in 2010 is being completed in Belarus
March 10, Minsk /BelTA correspondent/. The development of a draft action plan for liberalizing the conditions for economic activity in 2010 is nearing completion in Belarus. This was announced by Deputy Minister of Economy of Belarus Andrei Tur today at the XI Assembly of Business Circles of the Republic of Belarus, BelTA reports.
The document envisages further improvement of administrative procedures, regulatory acts, and standards. "We are talking about expanding the opportunities for small businesses to use borrowed funds, and about creating guarantee funds in the republic that will undertake obligations to ensure loan repayment," Andrei Tur explained.
When preparing the liberalization plan for 2010, the Ministry of Economy considered a number of proposals from business representatives. "Some things we are implementing, some we are discussing, and some are not yet feasible under the current crisis conditions," the deputy minister noted.
"The Ministry of Economy comes to this assembly with a clear objective: that in the current conditions, we must actively, together, and in a consolidated manner offer business community solutions to the problems that exist in the economy. This is especially important as we emerge from the crisis and high rates of economic development are particularly crucial for us," said Andrei Tur.
At the same time, he emphasized that the state is interested in the broad representation of private business in all spheres, but business itself must decide which sphere to enter. "Overall, we believe that the conditions that have been created and are currently being created in the country should contribute to the development of entrepreneurship - large, medium, private, both state-owned and non-state-owned," the Deputy Minister of Economy summarized. -0-
