A fire and rescue post has been established in Bilevo

В Билево создан пожарный аварийно-спасательный пост
The need for such a facility on the outskirts of a rapidly growing regional center has long been overdue.

As noted during the opening of PASP-12 by Viktor Nikolaikin, Chairman of the Vitebsk City Executive Committee, the construction of the Bilevo-1, 2, 3 microdistricts is nearing completion, and after full occupancy, more than 30,000 people will live there.

Next, the Sokolniki microdistrict will begin to develop, where the project envisages accommodating 57,000 residents in the future. This implies the development of infrastructure, construction of roads, shops, kindergartens, and so on. But until now, there was another problem, emphasized Viktor Pavlovich: the new buildings were remote from the units of the Vitebsk City Department for Emergency Situations, which created difficulties for prompt response to emergencies. Now the situation has changed.

PASP-12 is located in the former premises of a special complex for civil services, which, in turn, relocated to the building of the Oktyabrsky Housing and Communal Services Department, vacated after the optimization of the city's housing and communal services system. Of course, the rescuers did not get registered at the new address immediately: the facilities required serious modernization. Only the first stage of modernization, which lasted about three months, has been completed so far, explained Vitaly Pozdnyakevich, head of the Vitebsk City Department for Emergency Situations. But everything necessary for the personnel of the emergency rescue post, under the leadership of Artem Valuyskikh, to successfully perform their duties is already available there.

Warm and comfortable utility rooms have been equipped for the Ministry of Emergency Situations employees, and the equipment is housed in renovated bays. They are heated by a new boiler room, which, incidentally, is equipped with domestic equipment.

Four people will be on duty at PASP-12 daily. They have at their disposal two modern fire trucks – a 5-ton and a 10-ton one.

— The city is developing, and it needs reliable protection. We will provide it, — commented on the opening of the fire rescue post Alexander Klobuk, wishing his colleagues good service and dry hoses.
