A working meeting of the heads of the border agencies of Belarus and Latvia was held in Braslav

Chairman of the State Border Committee of Belarus Leonid Maltsev and Head of the State Border Guard Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Latvia Normunds Garbars discussed issues of interaction between the border agencies of the two countries. As a result, directions for further cooperation were determined and an interdepartmental regulation was signed, governing certain aspects of bilateral investigations of border incidents.

As reported by the press service of the Polotsk Border Detachment, in addition, the guests familiarized themselves with the infrastructure of the border service bodies, technical means of border protection, and the armament of servicemen, having visited the "Plyusy" border post, which controls a thirty-kilometer section of the border with Latvia. The delegations also had the opportunity to visit the "Grigorovshchina" road checkpoint in the Verkhnedvinsk district, the reconstruction of which was completed last year. Modern technologies are now used in the main corridor on the Belarusian-Latvian border, which have improved the work of all involved services, as the representatives of the delegations of the two countries were able to see for themselves.
