In the Chashniki district, a nephew beat his uncle to death, investigator-criminalist of the Vitebsk Regional Prosecutor's Office Vladimir Baidanov told a BELTA correspondent. The intoxicated resident of the village of Krasnoye decided to sort things out with his mother in the morning. His 20-year-old nephew, who had also consumed alcohol the day before, joined the argument. Gradually, the heated quarrel escalated into a fight, during which the young man killed his 36-year-old relative. The young man has been detained. A criminal case has been initiated against him for murder under Part 1 of Article 139 of the Criminal Code of Belarus, which provides for up to 15 years of imprisonment.
