On Constitution Day of the Republic of Belarus, young citizens were presented with passports

Traditionally, on the eve of and directly on the Constitution Day of the Republic of Belarus, as part of the nationwide campaign "We are Citizens of Belarus!", young people become holders of their main document. Today, in the Vitebsk region, representatives of the legislative and executive authorities and public figures are presenting passports to excellent students, activists of public and sports life in a solemn ceremony.

For Olga Kazakevich (in the photo), receiving the main document of a citizen of the country became one of the brightest impressions. On the eve of Constitution Day, the fourteen-year-old student of Secondary School No. 12 in Vitebsk was among the 27 children from all over the republic who received passports at the Museum of Modern Belarusian Statehood in Minsk. The ceremony was attended by the Deputy Head of the Administration of the President of the Republic of Belarus Igor Buzovsky and the First Secretary of the Central Committee of the BRSM Andrey Belyakov, who congratulated the schoolchildren and noted that now young people are becoming full-fledged citizens of their state.

Olga represented the Vitebsk region in this ceremony not by chance. She is an active participant in district scientific-practical conferences on world history, a member of the combined volunteer detachment of the Pervomaisky District Committee of the BRSM "With Kindness", studies at the stage art studio "Art-Project" of the Vitebsk Concert Hall, has already tried her hand at the International Children and Youth Competition-Festival "Nevskie Perspektivy", and has proven herself in the educational project of contemporary art and creative work "Orange Birches" in Moscow, the International Children's Competition

creativity "Skryzhavanne-2015". And how many roads are still ahead!

In total, from Pridvinye, as reported by the regional committee of the BRSM, four excellent students and activists attended the event. Besides Olga, these are Nikita Bekish from Derkovshchinskaya Secondary School of Gluboksky District, Vera Odnorogaya from Sennenskaya Secondary School No. 1 named after Z. Azgur, and Daria Semenkova, a student of Dolzhanskaya Secondary School of Vitebsk District. As a souvenir, they received a colorfully designed album "I am a citizen of the Republic of Belarus", and after the solemn ceremony, an excursion to the museum was organized for the young men and women.

Why is this event, which has become a good tradition, important for the children? Because it gives them the opportunity to feel involved in the fate of their country, to feel responsible for its future.
