The start of summer holidays was celebrated at the children's health camp "Energetik"
As explained by the camp director Alexander Shpilevsky, 190 children aged 6 to 15 arrived at the camp for the first shift (and there will be four shifts during the summer).
– We focus on active recreation. We hold many sports competitions. Usually, camps have one physical education instructor, but we have three. One for different age groups. Children enjoy training at the stadium. The program also includes many cultural events. They take place both outdoors and in the club, and in a tent set up on the territory. There are workshops on "vytinanka" (paper cutting), embroidery, and a theater group, where older children prepare puppet shows and perform them for the younger ones, – said Alexander Shpilevsky.
Last year, a frame pool was installed next to the dormitories, where you can swim and learn different styles. There is also an indoor pool for the little ones.
Professional teachers and students from Vitebsk State University named after P.M. Masherov work as educators. Among them is Violetta Pozdnyakova, a third-year student of the Faculty of Social Pedagogy and Psychology, who is doing her internship at the children's camp for the first time.
– "Energetik" is located in a beautiful place. I have joined a very good team, where more experienced colleagues are always ready to help. I enjoy working with children, and judging by the first few days, I am managing to find common ground with them, – said Violetta.
The camp offers five meals a day. Two teams of cooks work in the canteen, one from "Vitmill" and the other from the RUP "Vitebskenergo" own canteen. Chef Ekaterina Voronova tries to select a varied menu.
– Not everyone likes fish, but they eat fish prepared by our chefs with pleasure and ask for more. Delicious cottage cheese casseroles – children leave nothing on their plates. This is the best assessment for us, – notes Ekaterina with pride.
– Camp is a meeting with friends, here you can have a great summer, have a good rest and learn something new, – shared his impressions eleven-year-old Timofey Titov, who is visiting "Energetik" for the sixth time.
Deputy General Director of RUP "Vitebskenergo" Vladimir Diklov noted that considerable funds were invested in the preparation of the camp for the current health improvement season. Major repairs of the roofs of most buildings were carried out. Additional equipment for the canteen was purchased. The children's town and the playground have been updated.
– Usually in the autumn, we develop a program and then implement it for the next season. Each branch of RUP "Vitebskenergo" is assigned to a specific building and territory and tries to ensure that their supervised area looks decent. Every year, "Energetik" becomes younger and more beautiful, – said Vladimir Diklov.
In addition, this year a competition was held for the best small architectural form object to be installed in the camp. Thus, fairy-tale characters have settled on the alleys, beautiful gazebos have been installed, and an original bench with a tic-tac-toe game.
– Children's health improvement in the summer period in Belarus, and in particular in the Vitebsk region, is given great attention. I want to say thank you to the state, large industrial enterprises, trade unions and other organizations that make a feasible contribution to this necessary cause. Everyone works harmoniously, like a single organism, which allows 40-45 thousand children to improve their health annually. The "Energetik" camp is an example of how a large enterprise is involved in the health improvement not only of the children of its employees and representatives of the public sector, – emphasized the Chairman of the Regional Council of Deputies Vladimir Terentyev, who came to "Energetik" to congratulate the children on the opening of the camp session and wish them a good rest.
