A Belarusian-Italian production facility for the assembly of elevator components is planned to be established in the Dokshytsy district.

OAO "Vetraz" Plant" plans to establish joint production with Italian partners in Begoml. This was announced by the enterprise's director, Anatoly Sivko, on the eve of the professional holiday – Machine Builder's Day, which is celebrated on the last Sunday of September.

Currently, the plant is working on a joint project with the Italian firm "VEGA SRL," which specializes in the manufacturing and supply of elevator components. The partnership is expected to be fruitful and beneficial for both enterprises. The Italian brand is well-known in Europe and America, and the company is now interested in entering the Belarusian and Russian markets.

"We expect to create a joint production facility," says Anatoly Sivko. "Under the Italian brand, we plan to manufacture elevator panel units with LCD screens. Foreign partners will supply us with components, and we will carry out the assembly. It is important for us that this cooperation has further prospects. Additional production will allow us to increase the workload for employees, improve labor productivity, and consequently, wages."

Primarily, the jointly produced products will be targeted at the domestic market, particularly for OAO "Mogilevliftmash," and subsequently, opportunities for supplies to Russia, Ukraine, and other countries will be explored.

It should be noted that the lion's share of products manufactured at "Vetraz" are orders for "Mogilevliftmash," a holding company that the Begoml plant has been part of since 2007. However, the company does not intend to solely meet the needs of the parent enterprise. Currently, negotiations are underway with Odessa for the supply of grover washers, the production of which the Begoml plant was the first in the republic to industrialize as an import-substituting product. There is also a desire and technical capability to produce metal hoses for sale in the Russian market, although the needs of the Mogilev Elevator Plant for this product are significant – "Vetraz" produces about 100 km of hoses for it per month. There are also plans to manufacture bolts and nuts of types not produced by the Rechytsa Metal Plant.
