A residential building for employees of RUP "Vitebskenergo" was constructed in the urban-type settlement of Orekhovsk, Orsha district.
The five-story building was erected in a short period – just over six months. It will house 40 families: employees of BelGRES and the agricultural branch "Teplichny". For RUP "Vitebskenergo", this is the first rental building. It is symbolic that it was built in the homeland of the first domestic power plant. By the way, the upcoming year is юбилейный for the Belarusian State District Power Station, in 2020 the power plant will celebrate its 90th anniversary.
The General Director of RUP "Vitebskenergo", Mikhail Luzin, who came to Orekhovsk to congratulate the future residents on their upcoming housewarming, noted that the decision to build a residential building in the urban-type settlement was dictated primarily by concern for the enterprise's employees.
– We carried out a major reconstruction of the greenhouse complex, significantly expanded production capacities, built a new farm, launched a freezing workshop, and created new jobs. Some of those who work in Orekhovsk commute from Orsha. We conducted a survey among them, asking if they would like to move to the urban-type settlement, and people expressed such a desire, – explained Mikhail Luzin.
In addition, according to the General Director of RUP "Vitebskenergo", the new housing solves the problem of rejuvenating and retaining staff at BelGRES. There is no dormitory in Orekhovsk, and the local hotel has only two rooms. So, the building resolves several issues at once.
Among the future residents is the young Zhenevesky family. The head of the family, Alexander, is a labor protection engineer at the power plant. His wife is raising their daughter, who turned ten months old on the day they received the keys to their two-room apartment. Alexander is originally from Orekhovsk; he and his wife and child lived in rented accommodation. The family cannot yet afford to buy their own home, so receiving a rental apartment is a great joy.
The Kapich family also inspected their new home. Ivan works as a tractor driver at the agricultural branch "Teplichny". The couple has already decided where the children's bed and other furniture will be placed.
The apartments are fully finished with modern materials. All balconies are glazed, and electric stoves are installed in the kitchens. Thrifty owners, as energy workers have always been, have provided for the possibility of saving on utility services. The building is equipped with automated systems for monitoring and accounting for electricity, water, lighting of common areas, and apartment-level heat metering. Parking spaces are arranged, there is a playground, as well as areas for utility purposes. Nearby there is a forest and a lake. In general, it is a wonderful place for a comfortable life and pleasant recreation. And RUP "Vitebskenergo", which cares about its current and future staff, will provide interesting work and decent salaries.
