To the attention of the Vitebsk public, an exhibition of paintings "East of Your Eyes, West of My Flowers" is presented. The exhibition of the Italian artist is not the first international project organized and held by the gallery. But, perhaps, it is the first in terms of scale and the number of works presented – 34 paintings.

Cesare Ravasi was born in the city of Bergamo in northern Italy. Art entered his life from early childhood, and today he is fully dedicated to his favorite pursuit. Cesare Ravasi's painting captivates with the Mediterranean azure of colorful splashes, the optimism of compositional rhythm, and the irrationality of plot lines.

As a painter, Cesare primarily works in the direction of surrealism, which has not lost its brilliance and relevance since the time of Salvador Dalí. Surrealist painting helps to get rid of old, ossified structures of perception, allowing modern man to adapt his consciousness to the rapidly changing realities of the time.

Cesare's passion for surrealism is not accidental: he has long and seriously been interested in the literature and art of the early 20th century. He shares his accumulated knowledge and experience with students at the Carrara Academy in Bergamo, where he teaches painting.

And if you find yourself in Spotorno (Savona province) on the Ligurian coast, you can easily visit Cesare Ravasi's studio. In such studios, Italian artists not only work but also exhibit and sell their paintings.

The exhibition at the "Stena" gallery is the artist's second exhibition in Belarus; the first was held in Minsk. Cesare Ravasi periodically exhibits in Spain, Germany, and France. He is an optimist and a lover of life, believing that one should enjoy every moment.

"

In Belarus, I was captivated by the depth and mystery of women's eyes, which are reflected in my palette and fill me with poetry – it can only be conveyed through a glance», shares the artist's impressions of Belarus.
