An Open Day was held at the Main Directorate of the National Bank of the Republic of Belarus for the Vitebsk Region

On October 18, 2014, the Main Directorate of the National Bank of the Republic of Belarus for the Vitebsk Region hosted an Open Day, held as part of the Year of Hospitality declared in Belarus and the nationwide campaign to improve the financial literacy of the population being implemented in the country.

On this day, the Main Directorate hospitably opened its doors to all those who wished to see the work of the National Bank from the inside and receive consultations on various issues of using banking and financial instruments.

 

Among the visitors were both adults and children, schoolchildren, students of Vitebsk universities, and teachers from regional schools. They had the opportunity to participate in a conference on "The Modern Banking System of the Republic of Belarus", visit the head's office and hear competent answers firsthand to pressing questions concerning the activities of the banking system, get acquainted with their credit history, and purchase commemorative coins. The museum exhibition and the cashier's workstation were very popular.

 

Children were especially delighted, as they were interested in literally everything: attending a financial literacy lesson, watching a cartoon, holding old banknotes and coins, counting their pocket money with a counting machine, participating in a quiz, competing with peers in assembling puzzles, and, of course, receiving prizes and souvenirs.

The event took place in a festive atmosphere and received many positive feedback and warm words addressed to the organizers.
