In Glubokoye, a scientific and practical forum "Intellectual Youth: From SMART Initiative to SMART City" was held
In the run-up to the VI All-Belarusian People's Assembly, many different dialogue platforms were held. Considering the wide range of topics proposed for discussion, and the youth's interest in solving pressing issues of the development of the Belarusian state and society, Vladimir Pavlovich proposed holding a practical scientific forum in Glubokoye.
In his welcoming address to the forum participants, Vladimir Andreichenko noted that this event is aimed at implementing one of the key messages of the head of state – to give youth, with their own views and value orientations, the opportunity to participate on an equal footing with their elders in the work on implementing the priorities and main directions of the country's development. An open, constructive exchange of views on the proposed topics will bring new creative ideas and determine the algorithm for their implementation.
Youth from Dokshitsy, Glubokoye, and Ushachi districts, as well as deputies of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus, representatives of the Ministry of Communications and Informatization, the Council of Young Scientists of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, the China-Belarus Industrial Park "Great Stone", and representatives of specialized departments of regional and district executive committees took part in the forum.
The forum discussed the complexity and importance of physical-technical and modern biotechnologies, as well as information technologies used in medicine. Special attention was paid to the effectiveness of implementing an innovative agro-industrial complex. The residents of Glubokoye listened with no less interest to a presentation on new varieties of cherries and sweet cherries of Belarusian selection.
Andrei Ivanets, Chairman of the Council of Young Scientists of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, Deputy Chairman of the Standing Commission of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus on Education, Science, Culture and Social Development, proposed the topic "Youth and New Horizons of Science" for discussion.
In turn, Tatyana Malets, a member of the promising personnel reserve of the Glubokoye district, called the implementation of youth initiatives an effective way to involve young people in socially significant activities. She provided several compelling arguments to support this. She also presented a video report on a survey conducted among children and adolescents from the Glubokoye, Ushachi, and Dokshitsy districts. All voiced proposals will be carefully studied and implemented if possible.
By the way, the local youth have something to be proud of. Such an ambitious and well-founded slogan perfectly reveals the essence of the exhibition-presentation "Youth Achievements Today - Successful Development and Prosperity of the Country Tomorrow," organized as part of the forum. Dozens of unique ideas and innovative projects implemented by young people in sports, painting, education, and culture were presented in one hall.
A unique batleyka (a traditional Belarusian puppet theater) created for special viewers, such as those with visual or hearing impairments, was demonstrated. Visitors were invited to take a virtual tour of Glubokoye or observe moving, dancing, glowing robots skillfully made by students of the Glubokoye District Gymnasium, the Lomashevskaya and Ozereckaya kindergarten-secondary schools. Among the presented works was, for example, a spirograph created from small parts, which produces unique drawings on a white sheet of paper.
In her speech, the Chairperson of the Glubokoye District Council of Deputies, Vera Telitsa, emphasized that the purpose of the meeting was to discuss and coordinate promising areas of cooperation in the creation and implementation of advanced developments in the fields of education, healthcare, and smart transformation of urban infrastructure, not only in large cities but also in small settlements.
– This forum is a vivid example of how young people, on equal footing with their elders, actively engage in solving pressing issues of the country's socio-economic and socio-political development, – emphasized Vera Mikhailovna. – It is noteworthy that this event is taking place in the Year of National Unity. Indeed, only by uniting our existing potential, energy, and intellect can we successfully accomplish tasks of any complexity. I am confident that the participants of the event have found new friends, like-minded people, and partners ready to work together to make the future a reality.
