An offline training «Smart Cities of Belarus – Paths to Development» was held in Glubokoye

В Глубоком прошел офлайн-тренинг «Умные города Беларуси – пути к развитию»
- "July 22 marked the 126th anniversary of the birth of Pavel Osipovich Sukhoi, a native of Glubokoye, an aircraft designer known throughout the world, Doctor of Technical Sciences, twice Hero of Socialist Labor," noted Tatyana Tarasevich, Deputy Chairperson of the District Executive Committee. "It is symbolic that we decided to hold a significant meeting for us within the walls of Secondary School No. 1, which is named after our fellow countryman. The offline training is one of the first and most interesting events in the program of the international festival 'Cherry Festival' that started today. The discussion about the prospects of 'smart city' technologies successfully combines technical and creative elements.

To confirm these words, the participants of the offline training were invited to the ceremony of commemorative cancellation of a postage stamp in honor of the "Cherry Festival" of Glubokoye with a special postal postmark. Anna Ryabova, Deputy Minister of Communications and Informatization of the Republic of Belarus, Alexander Shubsky, Chairman of the District Executive Committee, Andrey Romanov, Assistant to the Chairman of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus, and Sergey Maksak, Director of the Vitebsk Branch of the Republican Unitary Enterprise of Postal Communication "Belpochta" were the first to participate in this. Stamps depicting the coat of arms of Glubokoye were affixed to the provided envelopes.

– When we learned that the festival in Glubokoye had become SMART, we couldn't miss this event, – Anna Nikolaevna emphasized in her speech. – For me, this meeting is also exciting because my father graduated from the Moscow Aviation Institute and dedicated his whole life to aviation engineering. Thank you to the people of Glubokoye for the initiative to hold such a necessary offline training. In turn, we are ready to support their participation in our pilot projects and make this region one of the "title" regions in the implementation of the unique project "Smart Cities of Belarus". We see huge potential in regional digitalization. Unfortunately, until now, innovations and digitalization have primarily concerned large cities. Not enough attention has been paid to the opportunities and potential that digitalization brings to the regions. In recent years, we have seriously addressed this issue and studied global practices. We hope that the list of implemented measures will open up new prospects for the socio-economic development of all regions of the country.

According to the Chairperson of the Glubokoye District Council of Deputies, Vera Telitsa, on March 17 of this year, a scientific and practical forum "Intellectual Youth: From SMART Initiative to SMART City" was held in the district center, which became a vivid confirmation that the younger generation, along with adults, is actively involved in solving urgent issues of socio-economic and socio-political development of the country, seeking new approaches for this, and proposing creative ideas. The offline training is a kind of continuation of the work started in this direction.

Vera Mikhailovna thanked the Chairman of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus, Vladimir Andreichenko, for his support in resolving many issues, including those related to digitalization, and also expressed words of gratitude to the Ministry of Communications and Informatization for supporting ideas and opportunities for fruitful cooperation.

During the plenary session, participants of the offline training discussed a number of important issues. For example, Elena Shorr, Deputy Head of the Department of State ICT Projects and Procurement of the Ministry of Communications, focused the attention of the attendees on the state regulation of regional digital development. Sergey Potetenko, Head of the Research Department of Infocommunications of OJSC "Giprosvyaz", spoke about creating favorable conditions for the implementation, operation and development of the unified "smart city" system. Natalia Paduto, Lead Specialist of the Strategic Marketing Department of RUE "Beltelecom", presented in detail the pilot project for the creation and implementation of the mobile application "My City" Polotsk.

– The project has proven its viability, and we are proceeding with its further scaling, – emphasized Natalia Arkadyevna. – The goal of our project is to simplify life in the city, to provide its residents and guests with an additional communication channel with all the necessary urban infrastructure. The uniqueness of the mobile application is that all services are gathered together and relate to a specific city. A clear interface also plays a significant role in this. The key moment is the interactivity of the project. The application not only contains information about a specific organization, but also allows, for example, to make an appointment, book a table in a restaurant, etc. There are no analogues of such an application in the country yet.

Upon completion of the plenary discussion, the exhibition project "Legend of World Aviation", dedicated to the 126th anniversary of the birth of aircraft designer P.O. Sukhoi, was presented to the participants of the offline training.

For the first time in Glubokoye, a presentation of an exhibition from Novkino Secondary School of Vitebsk District was organized. In particular, Irina Khirevich, Deputy Director of this educational institution, showed unique items from the museum room "History of Space". The exhibition aroused interest among both children and adults.

On the central square, an exhibition-presentation "Space, Aviation and Information and Communication Technologies for "Smart Cities (Regions)" was held on this day. Residents of the industrial park "Great Stone" presented their latest achievements and developments: Aviation Technologies and Complexes CJSC, China-Belarus High-Tech Aerospace Research and Development Center LLC, as well as the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, Vitebsk State University named after P.M. Masherov, Republican Unitary Enterprise of Telecommunications "Beltelecom" and Republican Unitary Enterprise of Postal Communications "Belpochta".

The Glubokoye Historical and Ethnographic Museum, the Department of Education, as well as the Sports and Tourism Sector of the District Executive Committee presented their projects and ideas.
