In Glubokoye, a jealous husband killed his wife; two children remain

The Hlybokaye District Department of the Investigative Committee has initiated a criminal case against a 29-year-old local resident suspected of murdering his wife.

The young couple was having a quarrel, so the 24-year-old woman was staying with her parents. Early in the morning of April 29, her husband came to her. The man asked the woman to go outside to discuss personal matters. During the conversation, a quarrel arose between the couple due to jealousy. Frightened, the woman called an acquaintance on her mobile phone and informed him about what was happening. At that moment, the man stabbed his wife once, which caused the young woman's death. Her husband fled the scene of the crime.

Neighbors of the deceased witnessed the incident. Local residents immediately called the police and an ambulance.

The Hlybokaye District Department of the Investigative Committee has initiated a criminal case against the suspect under Part 1 of Article 139 (Murder) of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Belarus.

An investigative task force immediately began investigating the criminal case. The main efforts were focused on searching for the person suspected of committing the crime and documenting the physical evidence left at the crime scene. For more than a day and a half, investigators continued to actively collect and secure the evidence base.

On April 30, the man was detained. Investigators are currently working with him. The man is giving incriminating testimony.

The couple has two children. They are with relatives.
