The regional "Dazhynki-2022" were celebrated with great fanfare in Glubokoye

Glubokoye is hosting the "Dazhynki-2022" festival-fair for rural workers with great fanfare, to summarize the work of the farmers of its region together with representatives from all regions of the Vitebsk region and to launch the celebration of grain growers throughout the region. The festival of the golden ear and the substantial loaf coincided with the Day of National Unity, which gave the celebrations a special meaning and resonance.

On holidays and weekdays, Belarus remembers the terrible outcome of the war – destroyed cities and villages, broken souls and hearts of millions of innocent people. Belarus remembers and cherishes the Great Victory, which united and will always unite people of different generations, young and old, no matter how much time has passed!

Therefore, the festival of labor, the "Dazhynki" festival-fair, began with laying flowers at the slabs of one of the largest mass graves of prisoners of war in the Borok tract. During the Great Patriotic War, prisoners of the fascist concentration camp, which was located in Berezvechye, were buried here. According to experts, the remains of at least 27,000 people rest here.

A minute of silence, and a column of representatives from all districts of the Vitebsk region heads to the center of Glubokoye, to the district gymnasium – one of the most modern educational institutions in the region. It became so after a major renovation of the building and modernization of the educational base, which involved an investment of over 5 million rubles. Entry through a turnstile using personal student cards, followed by a convenient cloakroom and classrooms.
Introducing the guests to the gymnasium, its principal Lilia Molchun spoke about the achievements of her students: eight became winners of the republican olympiad, four students scored 100 points in the centralized testing in Belarusian language, chemistry, and biology, and the average score of Glubokoye gymnasium students in all subjects was higher than the regional average.
This success is probably natural. After all, children are led through the country of knowledge by a creative team, which includes two "Excellence in Education" awardees, two methodologist teachers, and 84% of teachers have the highest and first qualification categories.
On Unity Day, on the day of honoring the workers of the most peaceful profession, teachers and students expressed gratitude for the care of those who will continue the work of their fathers.

There were many such joyful meetings on this day. The preparation for "Dazhynki" made the city more beautiful and the lives of its residents more comfortable. It is likely that there was not a single enterprise or institution left in the district center that did not improve the working conditions of employees and the appearance of administrative and production buildings. It is impossible to list more than a hundred facilities that underwent transformations this year. The settlement and cash service center of RUP "Vitebskenergo", the city post office, the district gas dispatch center, the House of Culture and the House of Crafts, as well as the courtyards, roads, and retail outlets built, repaired, and improved by work collectives, entrepreneurs, and local residents, impress with their beauty and convenience for visitors. The physical culture and recreation center, which was opened on this day, holds a special place in this list. Everything in it impresses with its functionality and convenience for activities. After the ribbon was cut, all this could be seen with one's own eyes.

– The physical culture and recreation center will become not only a base for training athletes but also a place for active recreation for citizens, – noted the chairman of the district executive committee Alexander Shubsky. – The swimming pool with four lanes is a great gift not only for Glubokoye residents but also for residents of neighboring districts. In addition, many new interesting opportunities for health improvement are opening up here – a dry training room, a sauna, a gym, a rhythmic gymnastics hall, and much more.
Over 4.5 million rubles were invested in the development of the center. Alexander Shubsky thanked everyone involved in the implementation of this significant project for the residents of Glubokoye – the Chairman of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus Vladimir Andreichenko, the leadership of the region, the builders, and urged everyone to actively engage in sports, and the athletes of the region to reach new heights. Honorary guests also left their wishes in the "Book of Records" for the athletes of Glubokoye.

The significant contribution of the villagers to everything the district has achieved is undeniable. The most vivid symbol of their labor is the bread loaf. Participants of "Dazhynki" saw what it looks like on festive and everyday tables, as well as dozens of flour products at the "Vitebskhlebprom" exhibition. The region's bakers impressed with their baking skills and the beauty of their product designs.

From the city stadium, the festival-fair participants proceeded to Victory Park to remember the price of the Great Victory. Representatives of the highest echelons of power and local leaders, specialists, machine operators, builders, and road workers marched together shoulder to shoulder. Leading the column were the flags of the Republic of Belarus, the Vitebsk region, and Glubokoye, which were carried by the first thousand-tonnes combine harvester operator Alexander Orekhov, "Person of the Year of Vitebsk Region-21", Head of the Inspectorate for Natural Resources and Environmental Protection Alexander Kazak, and weightlifter, bronze medalist of the World Junior Championship, and 2021 European Junior Champion Andrey Orlyonok.

All along the way, they were greeted by the residents of the region. They had people and achievements to be proud of in agriculture and industry, culture and sports... For example, 67 grain harvesting combine crews participated in the harvest, 19 of them surpassed the thousand-tonne mark, and the total harvest amounted to 52 thousand tons.

Festival-fair participants took part in the opening ceremony of the concert venue, which marked the beginning of the celebration honoring the best workers.

In our country, Belarusians, like one family, work and celebrate together. This was also the case in Glubokoye. Many guests came here for "Dazhynki" - Chairman of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus Vladimir Andreichenko, Chairman of the Regional Executive Committee Alexander Subbotin, and Chairman of the Regional Council of Deputies Vladimir Terentyev, Assistant to the President of the Republic of Belarus Anatoly Linevich, heads of ministries, administrations of the region's districts, members of the patriotic marathon "United". Each with their own awards, wishes, and gifts.

The first to be honored were the crews that harvested a thousand tons, each of whom received commemorative diplomas, flowers, and envelopes with bonuses. But it was impossible to summarize the work without a symbol of fertility, prosperity, and life. From the agricultural workers and collectives of the processing industry of Glubokoye, the harvest sheaf was presented to the Chairman of the Regional Executive Committee, Alexander Subbotin.

The Chairman of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee, Alexander Subbotin, noted at the regional festival-fair "Dozhynki-2022" in Glubokoye:

"September 17 is a significant day in the history of our country. On this day in 1939, the reunification of the Western and Eastern parts of Belarus began. Thanks to the events of those years, our state ceased to be divided. The Day of National Unity, like "Dozhynki," holds a special place in our calendar. Our generation has the task of strengthening the independence of our Motherland. And it is strengthened by socio-economic stability. The well-being of the country's residents is created by the workers of the land.

In the current agricultural season, we have managed to achieve better results compared to previous years. The total weight of the Vitebsk region's harvest exceeded 1,100 thousand tons with an average yield of over 30 centners per hectare. The Orsha and Vitebsk regions formed a quarter of it.

"Dozhynki-2022" is a bright chapter in the history of the Glubokoye district. Great transformations have taken place in the district center, and they will continue.

Traditionally, at the festival, the baton of "Dozhynki" is passed to the next year. Sharkovshchina will become the capital of "Dozhynki-2023."

We are all united by working the land for the sake of achievements and the well-being of everyone. Your successes are of great importance to our region. Happy holiday!"

Alexander Subbotin presented Certificates of Honor, diplomas, and letters of appreciation to the heads and employees of organizations and services that made the greatest contribution to the district's preparation for "Dazhynki". One by one, leaders of agricultural production came onto the stage. Vladimir Andrichenko, Chairman of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus, presented letters of appreciation to Sergey Abiralo, director of SUP "Mnyuta", Alexey Bortnik, driver of OAO "Chernevichi", and Yuri Dubina, crane operator of PMK-48, Valentina Krivyonok, deputy director for ideological work of OAO "Zolotaya Podkova", and Alexander Sinkevich, a utility worker. In short, it is impossible to count all those recognized at the celebration. Awards were also presented by the Federation of Trade Unions of Belarus, the district executive committee, and the district council.

"Each of those present at this celebration," emphasized Alexander Shubsky, Chairman of the District Executive Committee, "has made their contribution to the common prosperity of our country. The harvesting campaign this year was carried out in optimal terms, which allowed us to avoid unjustified crop losses. Employees of agricultural organizations of the district and all those who came to their aid in the battle for the harvest have shown their best professional and human qualities. As a result, we managed to exceed the 2021 level for grain and leguminous crop collection by 18 thousand tons. The highest results in the district were achieved by the workers of the Unitary Enterprise "Mnyuta", yielding 48.7 centners per hectare. The gross grain harvest in the district is also higher than in previous years."

The festival-fair unfolded throughout the day across the city. The gymnasium hosted the regional conference "Day of National Unity as a Symbol of Belarusian People's Cohesion." Dozens of themed areas operated on the central square. Here, the district competition-exhibition of small architectural forms "Echoes of My Village" and the flower and vegetable composition contest "Autumn Fairytale" took place. Employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations taught spectators about safe living, the "Agrosalon" exhibition of agricultural machinery was open, souvenir stalls from artisans and products from regional enterprises were available. Draniki were baked on logs, and athletes competed at the Sports and Recreation Complex and the Children's and Youth Sports School. Professional and amateur artists added to the festive mood. Spectators applauded Irina Dorofeeva, the folk song and music ensemble "Alexandrina" from Tolochino, the KVD ensemble "North-West," and artists from the Yanka Kupala National Academic Theatre, who staged the famous play "Paulinka" at the House of Culture. The festivities concluded late in the evening.

The Day of Unity and "Dazhynki" united all participants of the holiday into one family of citizens living under a peaceful Belarusian sky, on the generous Belarusian land, painted life with smiles, love, and pride for their native Belarus.
