A 35-meter water cascade is being created in Glubokoye

A 35-meter water cascade is being created in Glubokoye, Oleg Varsha, Deputy Chairman of the Glubokoye District Executive Committee, told a BELTA correspondent.

The cascade will be located on the slope of a hill near Lake Kagalnoye in the city center. It will consist of three platforms with water reservoirs connected by drains. At the very top of the structure, a wheel will be installed, to which water will be pumped from the lake. As a result, the wheel will rotate, and water will flow from one container to another until it reaches the lake. The possibility of installing small fountains in these reservoirs is not excluded. Various enterprises and organizations of the city are participating in the construction of the future cascade. Each of them performs its part of the work.

Currently, a construction crew from the Glubokoye Meat Processing Plant, employees of the local housing and communal services, and representatives of the forestry are working here. It is assumed that the most labor-intensive and lengthy stage of construction is yet to come. "First of all, this is the work on creating a water drainage system, installing the chutes themselves, and lining them with stone. An important part will be the fabrication of supporting stone walls, because the cascade is being built on a slope," Oleg Varsha noted. Over time, the territory around the facility will be landscaped, and the cascade will become a good place for residents of Glubokoye to relax, offering an excellent view of the central part of the city.

The cascade is planned to be opened by Independence Day or in the run-up to the "Cherry Festival" in the second half of July. The initiator of the creation of the water system was Oleg Morkhat, Chairman of the Glubokoye District Executive Committee.
