In Glubokoye, the production of canned green peas will be resumed
A domestic investor
plans to resume the production of green peas on the premises of the former cannery
in Glubokoye. He acquired the complex of buildings, structures, and equipment for
processing this legume representative at an auction. The buyer had to withstand
competition for the asset.
According to Viktor Piletsky, the bankruptcy trustee for the Glubokoye Cannery, the ninth auction proved successful, with the initial price of the lot reduced by 95% to almost 1.6 billion rubles (pre-denomination). Two participants showed interest in the asset. To win, one of them had to offer 3.2 billion rubles for the complex, meaning the sale price doubled the initial price.
As Viktor Piletsky noted, the domestic company intends to use the acquired property for its intended purpose, investing the necessary funds in its development and the creation of new jobs at the production facility. Previously, the investor purchased a 500-ton cold storage facility with specialized equipment for freezing peas at a second auction with a 95% price reduction, offering about 800 million rubles, thereby almost tripling the lot price.
Currently, the crisis manager has sold almost all the real estate of the former cannery, whose liquidation period is set by the Vitebsk Regional Economic Court until January 30, 2017. The funds raised from the sale of property will be used to pay off the debts of the bankrupt enterprise.
