In the Glubokoye district, the best milk suppliers are encouraged with milking machines, the chief state inspector for procurement and quality of agricultural products of the Glubokoye District Executive Committee's Agriculture and Food Department, Vladimir Khmelevsky, told a BELTA correspondent. The initiative for such encouragement belongs to the chairman of the district executive committee, Oleg Morhat. The main conditions for awarding are keeping a large number (5 or more) of cattle and regularly selling products to the state. Taking this into account, the first recipients of individual milking machines in August were milk supplier families from the villages of Ozyortsy and Teleshi, whose farms keep five cows each, and the annual volume of milk sold to the state is 20 tons each. The next award ceremony for the best milk suppliers in the district is planned to be held in Glubokoye on the eve of the New Year. Meanwhile, the Agriculture and Food Department of the district executive committee is determining the most worthy candidates from more than a dozen applicants for encouragement. The cost of one machine is Br6 million. The equipment is purchased at the expense of the Glubokoye Dairy and Canning Plant, to which the raw materials are subsequently supplied for further processing, Vladimir Khmelevsky noted. He also added that a total of 7.5 thousand tons of milk was supplied by the population over the past year, which is 25% of all milk procured in the district.
