One of the largest tourist and health complexes in Belarus, 'Plissa', is being built in the Glubokoye district.

В Глубокском районе строится один из самых масштабных в Беларуси туристско-оздоровительных комплексов «Плисса»

The production and construction closed joint-stock company "Treст Promstroy" (Minsk) has already invested over 20 million dollars in the implementation of the investment project. Behind a high fence, an entrance gate decorated with a colonnade, a fairytale corner is hidden. Hundreds of builders are working at the site, who, by the way, promise to complete the work by December.

The structure of the construction site includes a five-story residential building, a medical complex, including a mud bath, hydrotherapy, and physiotherapy departments, a swimming pool, and a jacuzzi. Separate cottage-type apartments are provided for families, a cultural and entertainment complex with a cafe-bar, a dance and entertainment hall, and a video conference room for 70 people. In the center of the tourist and health complex, the gilded domes of the future chapel of St. Euphrosyne of Polotsk sparkle. This indicates that vacationers will be able to not only improve their health but also "heal" their souls.

In the open air, the complex owners promise to create a sports ground, including a tennis court, areas for mini-football, volleyball, basketball, and all-weather exercise equipment. A beach and a large pier will be equipped by the water's edge, where boats, yachts, and catamarans will dock, and from where a 40-kilometer kayak route will start, running through the picturesque lakes of Shо, Dolgoye, and Plissa. Along with walking and horseback riding, it will be possible to go skiing, cycling, and practice Nordic walking.

There are not many such large-scale construction projects in Belarus, as well as in the border regions. A significant argument in favor of "Plissa" is the natural healing factors, or rather, the presence of a forest lake with a sapropel deposit of over 63 thousand cubic meters within a kilometer distance. The mud has been certified at the level of the relevant medical and scientific institutions of the Republic of Belarus. The issue of confirming its high quality at the European level is currently being resolved.

Sapropel organic mud will be used for the treatment of joints, spine, musculoskeletal system, pelvic organ diseases, including chronic inflammatory processes, hormonal dysfunctions, etc. It is planned to use the application method of applying mud to local body areas and the use of diluted mud-mineral baths. There will be two wells with mineral water. Drinking water with mineralization up to 2 grams per liter, according to the European standard, does not require refinement or dilution. It can be consumed, including in heated form. The second well, up to 600 meters deep, with water mineralization above 15 grams per liter, will be used to organize the operation of the balneological clinic.

– We held a tender for the purchase of the best samples of modern medical equipment of German, Italian and Belarusian production, – says Sergey Petukhov, Deputy General Director of CJSC "Trest Promstroy" for medical support. – Of course, first-class specialists who know how to work with modern equipment, as well as qualified doctors, including a therapist, neurologist, physiotherapist, and obstetrician-gynecologist, will be required. In terms of personnel selection, we are primarily focusing on local residents; if necessary, we will attract people from other regions. For future employees who need housing, we will provide apartment-type houses. We will create comfortable working and living conditions for everyone, hoping that their professional skills and personal qualities will benefit the common cause.

Speaking about the organization of catering for vacationers, Sergey Yuryevich noted that the subsidiary farm of the "Plissa" complex will be focused on the production of environmentally friendly agricultural products, and the potential of agricultural enterprises and farms specializing not only in growing fruits and vegetables, but also engaged in sheep breeding, poultry farming, and the production of marbled beef and pork will be maximally utilized.

The cost of accommodation in the tourist and health complex will vary depending on the chosen procedures, catering options, and accommodation. For residents of the Gluboksky district, the owners promise discounts. The "Plissa" complex is focused on the Belarusian consumer, and guests from near and far abroad, who are already observing the construction progress with considerable interest, will also be welcomed here.
