– Our people remember their past. And paying tribute to heroes is a correct tradition. But it is very important that we remember not only such great personalities as Ivan Khristoforovich, but also ordinary soldiers. Much is being done to perpetuate their memory, and every year we remember those who liberated and defended our Motherland. Every year we restore new names of once unknown soldiers. 2910 names were engraved on the memorials again this year. This is ongoing work, – said Vladimir Vladimirovich. – Today is a wonderful date – it would have been 125 years since the birth of a man who liberated not only Gorodok, but also Vitebsk, Polotsk, Shumilino, Postavy... Ivan Khristoforovich Bagramyan was and remains a true legend.
