A new fire and rescue post has been opened in the Horadok district
– This is a landmark event not only for the Ministry of Emergency Situations but also for the Horadok district and the agro-town of Bychiha. I am doubly pleased to be here and to open this building – my native school stands right opposite. I must note that in our country, great attention is paid to safety issues in general, and to the protection of the population and territories from emergencies in particular. This post is a clear confirmation of this. It is equipped with the most modern equipment, by the way, of domestic production. Rescuers spend practically a third of their lives at work, and the conditions for professional training, service, and rest are of great importance. Everything here is done at a high level. My colleagues and I always appreciate the attention and care of the state for us, rescuers, and remember that people expect reliable, highly professional work from us.
The new building stands on a hill where there was a neglected wasteland. The modern fire post has literally transformed the agro-town, said the chairperson of the Bychiha rural council, Antonina Koltsa:
– It is pleasant that the third anniversary of our small homeland is celebrated with such a significant event. The location is very successful, on an elevation – no need for a watchtower, from this platform, one can conduct surveillance within a radius of 15 kilometers. Horadok is a district center, and Bychiha is a geographical one, so in this sense, the choice for the post's location is also successful. We are sincerely grateful to the employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations! We have seen from our own experience that they can do everything. They can qualitatively demolish dilapidated buildings, they can fight hogweed, they can build a platform in five days that builders cannot do in a year. We wish them happiness, physical health, strength of spirit, and well-being in their families.
The single-story building, which includes an administrative part and a garage for two units of equipment: AC-10.0 and AC-5.0, began construction in April last year. The unit will be served by 8 people. On the territory of the post, there is a "Workout" sports ground for the residents of the settlement, a volleyball court, and a fountain. In the future, rescuers will equip a recreation park here, including a dendrarium, gazebos for relaxation, and an exposition in the form of street lamps with fire fighting attributes.
