The tourist and health resort complex "Losvido" has opened in the Gorodok district

In his welcoming speech, Mikhail Orda emphasized that the main goal pursued by the trade unions, together with the management of the "Belтурист" company and local authorities in implementing the large-scale reconstruction, was to create a multifunctional recreation base where people could relax, escape from everyday worries, and improve their health.

The complex is located in a forest area on the shore of the picturesque Losvido Lake. The 15-hectare area includes the main building with modern rooms, which can accommodate 150 people for recreation and health improvement simultaneously, a dining room, a dance floor, and facilities for health and recreation. On average, the TOS "Losvido" plans to receive 2,000 vacationers per year.

Since November 2015, with the support of the Federation of Trade Unions of Belarus, capital repairs and reconstruction work have been carried out in Losvido. During this period, the roof was completely repaired, the facade of the main building underwent thermal renovation, the room stock was fully updated, a passenger elevator was installed, the dining room was equipped with modern equipment, and the territory adjacent to the complex was landscaped. In the near future, cottage buildings for individual recreation will be commissioned.

The complex will be used for health improvement and recreation, as well as for cultural, corporate, and sports events. 28 jobs have been created at "Losvido".

"Judging by the applications, there are those who wish to visit us among both Belarusians and Russians. In addition, during the "Slavianski Bazaar in Vitebsk" festival, the base will be a convenient place of accommodation for guests from different countries," explained the director.
