In the urban settlement of Kokhanovo, Nikolai Sherstnev opened a mushroom cultivation enterprise and a mini-football field
The football field with a modern synthetic surface in the urban-type settlement appeared thanks to the social project "Bonfesto – for Children". The surface, measuring 40 by 20 meters, was purchased with the assistance of Turov Dairy Factory and provided by the Football Federation of Belarus. The base of the field, according to Alexander Duran, director of the district sports club "Niva", was prepared with the help of the district budget:
– More than 42 thousand rubles were spent on these purposes, equipment, and landscaping. Local road workers and builders helped to equip the field. A similar field appeared in Tolochin for "Dozhinki-2015". Currently, four groups of the children's sports school and an adult team playing in the regional championship are training there. In Kokhanovo, we also plan to invite a football coach by September 1st.
Legends of Belarusian football, USSR champions of 1982, Mikhail Vergeyenko, who is now the Deputy Chairman of the FFB, and Georgy Kondratyev, head coach of the national team, came to the opening of the field. Georgy Petrovich, who was born, by the way, in the village of Lyubanichi, Tolochin District, admitted that he envies modern boys:
– My generation could only dream of such conditions! We played on sandy fields, marking them ourselves.
Chairman of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee Nikolai Sherstnev brought gifts for the young footballers:
– We want the youth to be strong and healthy. To achieve this, we create conditions, build such playgrounds, stadiums, swimming pools, sports halls, fitness centers.
Then, in the town settlement, the Chairman of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee opened the first phase of the private enterprise "FungiBelPlus" LLC for growing champignons. Investors, who started construction 4 years ago, have invested 9 million rubles in the plant. Until now, 12 new chambers, equipped according to Polish-Dutch technology, have been operating in commissioning mode. According to Viktor Alkhimovich, Deputy Chairman of the Tolochin District Executive Committee, up to 3 thousand tons of mushrooms can be grown there annually:
– This is an important facility for Kokhanovo, with a population of 4 thousand people. 170 jobs have been created. The share of champignons in the district's export component has already reached 30 percent. And finally, mushrooms are agricultural products. Their gross production in the district, with the help of "FungiBelPlus", has increased by more than 10 percent.
The enterprise, where the second phase is under construction, grows broccoli in addition to champignons. If investors wish to establish branches, Nikolay Sherstnev promised to assist with land allocation and bank loans:
– Kokhanovo is a vivid example of a settlement where private entities have taken over almost all state enterprises that existed during the USSR. Thanks to this, jobs have been created, and salaries are paid. This confirms that the future lies with small and medium-sized businesses. There are many vacant factory premises in the Vitebsk region that we are ready to provide to businessmen for the development of new modern production facilities.
