New specializations have appeared at the IT Academy of Vitebsk State Technological University

The "Academy of Modern Technologies" of the Vitebsk State Technological University (VSTU) will host an Open Day on September 28. Experienced teachers will conduct master classes and answer all questions of interest, reported Victoria Muricheva, Dean of the Faculty of Pre-University Training and Career Guidance.

Children aged 10 to 14 will study at the university academy. The training includes experiments with robot constructors, 3D printing, and programming in different languages. The program is designed specifically for children, taking into account the individual characteristics of each age group. The duration of the training is four years (nine months each year), with classes held on weekends from October to June.

Experienced VSTU teachers will conduct the classes. The academy's specializations include robotics, programming in Arduino and Python, 3D modeling, system administration, mechatronics, web programming, and Robotino (robot control basics). "This year, new specializations related to programming have been introduced. Robotics and mechatronics have been updated considering the needs of children and parents, taking into account the experience of previous classes," added Victoria Muricheva.

The "Academy of Modern Technologies" has been operating at the university since 2017. One of its goals is to interest young people in IT and help them choose a future profession.
