AMONG FRIENDS

In Roman mythology, there is a legend about the Three Graces – the beautiful companions of the goddess Venus. It was believed that they always followed their patroness and helped mortals find happiness and understand the true essence of love. However, ancient myths do not say what the Graces themselves thought of their gifts or whether they were happy themselves...

Vitebsk also has its own Graces. They, it is true, are not personally acquainted with Venus, but the themes of love, spiritual searching, and creative self-determination are undoubtedly close to them. Irina DENISOVA, Alesya MEDVEDEVA, and Elena TSYGANIKOVA are the main protagonists of the musical and poetic meeting of the folk theater-studio of author's song "IN THE CIRCLE OF FRIENDS." On March 2nd at 7:00 PM in the hall of the Vitebsk Culture Center, the audience will have the opportunity to meet truly interesting young women: they are all creative, receptive, and sociable individuals. Each has a special talent and special achievements. Alesya MEDVEDEVA is an author-performer well-known to the Vitebsk audience, the head and inspiration of our theater-studio of author's song. Elena TSYGANIKOVA is a participant in the aforementioned bard collective, a poet, and a composer. Irina DENISOVA is a writer, author of the books "IZYUM: selected works, humor," "EQUINOX," and others, a winner of literary contests.

The program features the stories of three young women, woven from music, songs, and poems. Themes of love, separation, creative self-determination, and inner turmoil, seasoned with notes of irony and self-criticism – and thus, the female soul is not such a dark mystery after all...
Poems and songs by famous authors will be performed on stage: N. GUMILEV, E. ISAEVA, E. FROLOVA, K. MALYGINA, N. SOBOLEVA, as well as songs by the program participants themselves.
