A multi-apartment building and an iron removal station have been commissioned in the Lepel district

В Лепельском районе ввели в эксплуатацию многоквартирный дом и станцию обезжелезивания
A good tradition has developed in the Lepel district: to give gifts to the region's residents for holidays. This year, an apartment building and an iron removal station were commissioned.

An apartment building has been commissioned in the village of Borovka, where 60 happy families will receive the keys to their new, long-awaited apartments.

– This is truly a significant event. Such large houses have not been built here for several decades. Many people working in Borovka had to rent housing in Lepel, and now they will have their own apartments, – noted Vladimir Terentyev, Chairman of the Regional Council of Deputies.

About 10 organizations participated in the construction of the house, which was laid in late January 2019 and completed in November, but the main contractor was JSC "Construction and Installation Trust No. 16, Novopolotsk". Alexander Safronov, production manager of the trust, wished the new residents comfort, warmth, and coziness in their home.

– When we were told a year ago that there would be an iron removal station, we didn't believe it. Because for many years, we solved the water issue as best we could, – admitted labor veteran Tamara Parfenovich and, on behalf of the residents of Kameny, thanked everyone involved in this long-awaited event.

The construction of the iron removal station was carried out within the framework of the "Clean Water" subprogram of the "Comfortable Housing and a Favorable Environment" State Program, scheduled until 2025.

– This year alone, about 20 iron removal stations have been commissioned in the region, and 42 more are planned for 2020. High-quality drinking water is the key to the good health of the population, – said Vladimir Terentyev.

The iron removal station in Kameny is the fourth commissioned in the district in the outgoing year. Over 145 thousand rubles were allocated from the regional budget for its construction.

In 2020, it is planned to build three more iron removal stations – in the village of Matyrino, and the agro-towns of Gorki and Chereyshchina, reported Pavel Ermakovich, Deputy Director of the "Lepelvodokanal" branch of UP "Vitebskoblvodokanal".
