A de-ironing station and a workout area have been commissioned in the Lepel district
Clean water for Chereyshchina residents
The construction of an iron removal station in the agro-town of Chereyshchina has become a major event for 265 residents, including 54 children under eighteen.
It has long been known that human health largely depends on water quality, emphasized Yuri Shipkin, Director of the Lepelvodokanal branch of Vitebskoblvodokanal UP, at the grand opening of the facility, which is significant for the villagers. For many years, the residents of Chereyshchina had to transport water from springs and other settlements to provide their families with clean water. Now, high-quality, clean water that meets standards has come into their homes – the iron content in it does not exceed 0.03 mg/l, whereas before it exceeded the maximum permissible concentration by 4 times.
The facility, for which 250 thousand rubles were allocated from the regional budget, was built and commissioned in a short period – in just two months. The station's capacity is 6.5 cubic meters per hour, which is sufficient for the settlement.
The iron removal station in Chereyshchina is the third facility commissioned in Lepel district this year. Earlier, residents of Gorki and Matyrino received quality water.

Under the "Clean Water" program, next year the Lepelvodokanal branch is to build water treatment stations in the settlements of Pyshno, Bolshoy Polsvizh (water supply network from the district center) in Lepel district, Belaya Lipa, Kokovshchino, Skog in Senno district, and Antopolye in Chashniki district.
A celebration for children
The residential complex, where new buildings on Chuykova Street recently appeared, was noisy on this day. Many young residents of Lepel gathered, who did not miss the opportunity during the school holidays to experience all the benefits of the workout area. It appeared thanks to a joint project implemented by RUP "Beltelecom" and the district authorities. Special words of gratitude were addressed to the head of the Lepel telecommunication section, district council deputy Anatoly Kuprevich.
There is no doubt that the sports ground will become an attraction for the younger generation and will not be empty either during the holidays or after school classes.
It is worth noting that the residential complex has a children's playground, two types of swings, sandboxes, and benches. In a word, children of different ages will find activities to their liking.
