Cosmetics will be produced in Liozno
A large-scale project with a total cost of $1.5 million is being implemented by the Ukrainian company "Drogeri-Bel" LLC, which found the conditions offered by the local authorities for business expansion in a small Belarusian town to be favorable.
The Kyiv-based enterprise, as reported by Vyacheslav Chernousov, Deputy Chairman of the Liozno District Executive Committee, is already a partner of the Minsk-based company "Techno-Modum" LLC. Since it has a sales market (including European and Asian countries), it needs new production facilities.
For the production of 1.5 million pieces of bar soap per year in the first stage, and subsequently the production of liquid detergents, balms, shampoos, and packaging for these products, the investor, by decision of the regional executive committee, was granted the vacant premises of the former cannery and vegetable drying plant free of charge, with the condition of creating jobs for local residents. Part of the premises has already been renovated, equipment has been installed in the workshop, and design and reconstruction are ongoing.
The launch of the first production line is scheduled for this year. The Ukrainians are considering waste from our meat processing plants as a raw material base. Those who master the functions of operating modern automated equipment will be invited to work after training. It is possible that former employees of the cannery have not lost their previous skills. With a two-shift operation of the first workshop, employment for 16 people can be provided.
