The first family-type children's home was opened in Liozno

The New Year's charity event "Our Children" has started in the Liozno district with the opening of the first family-type children's home.

The new two-story house is located on Kondrat Krapiva Street. The Moskalev family will now live here. Dad Ivan Ivanovich works as a machine operator at OAO "Novaya Dubrava – Agro". Mom Zoya Vladimirovna used to work as a calf-tender at the same farm, and since 2015, she has been giving maternal love and care to children whose little hearts need it. The parents have already raised and launched two biological and ten foster children into life. Currently, the family has four girls – Alexandra, Anastasia, Olga, and Anna, the eldest of whom is 16 years old, and the youngest is 6 years old.

– Before this, we lived in a regular village house with three rooms in the village of Mikhalinovo. Of course, there wasn't enough space for the children, but we got used to it. As they say, we lived in cramped quarters, but without resentment, – said Zoya Moskaleva. – Of course, there is more space here and more opportunities for the children than in the village.

Everything in the family is done together: they cook, clean, play, work in the garden, and do homework. At first, according to Zoya Vladimirovna, the children slept restlessly, listening to sounds, but today each of them is open, creative, and soulful, which the parents cannot be happier about.

– When our older children grew up, we decided to take foster children so that these children would also grow up in love and care. We wanted to take one child, but there were three sisters in the orphanage, whom we could not separate, so we took all of them, – said the experienced mother. – We keep in touch with all the children, they often come to visit us. The eldest recently introduced us and his biological mother to his daughter-in-law.

Many distinguished guests came to congratulate them on their housewarming and give gifts on the eve of the New Year holidays. As noted by Vyacheslav Durnov, Deputy Chairman of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee, this is already the 33rd family-type home in the Vitebsk region, and next year such homes will be opened in the Beshenkovichi and Polotsk districts.

– We will continue this good deed, because every child should live in comfortable conditions and a happy family, – said Vyacheslav Durnov.

The Deputy Chairman of the Regional Executive Committee presented the family with a certificate for 8 thousand Belarusian rubles for the purchase of household appliances and furniture for children's rooms. The Minister of Antimonopoly Regulation and Trade, Alexey Bogdanov, also joined the congratulations, presenting the family with a certificate for the purchase of computer desks.

– The more warmth and care we give to our children, the happier the generation that grows up after us will be. After all, it is they who will manage the country and raise their children based on the values that we have instilled in them today, – emphasized the head of the Ministry of Antimonopoly Regulation and Trade.

According to the Chairman of the Liozno District Executive Committee, Ivan Fedorov, today in the Liozno district, 44 children are being raised in foster and guardianship families, who are surrounded by care and love, which will remain unchanged, as the upbringing and care of children is one of the priority tasks for the district.
