The new chairman of the district executive committee was introduced in Liozno
The deputies unanimously voted for Sergey Zemchenok. Presenting him with his official ID, First Deputy Chairman of the Regional Executive Committee Oleg Matskevich identified the most pressing areas of activity for the district vertical of power: effective economic development, primarily industry, reducing the region's dependence on subsidies, and increasing workers' wages. He expressed hope that the appointed head of the Liozno District Executive Committee would cope with solving these tasks.
The session was attended by the Chairman of the Regional Council of Deputies Vladimir Terentyev, and deputies of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus for the Liozno district.
Sergey Richardovich Zemchenok was born in 1967 in the urban-type settlement of Voropayevo, Postavy district. He served in the ranks of the Soviet Army. He is a graduate of the S.M. Kirov Belarusian Technological Institute (woodworking process engineer) and the Academy of Management under the President of the Republic of Belarus (manager-economist). He worked in the Postavy District Committee of the BSMU, as a carpenter, production manager, chief engineer, and director of the open joint-stock company "Postavyfurniture". He was elected as a deputy of the Vitebsk Regional Council of Deputies of the twenty-fourth, twenty-fifth, and twenty-sixth convocations. In October 2016, he was elected as a deputy of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus of the sixth convocation for the Postavy constituency No. 29, and is the deputy chairman of
Standing Commission on Economic Policy. Awarded the titles "Person of the Year of Vitebsk Region – 2008", "Person of the Year of Postavy District – 2009", "Best Manager of Vitebsk Region – 2015". Delegate of the V All-Belarusian People's Congress.
