The launch of natural gas took place in Lomashi, Gluboksky district

В Ломашах Глубокского района состоялся пуск природного газа
Lomashi is the 140th gasified agro-town in the Vitebsk region: natural gas arrived there on the eve of the October Revolution Day. As part of the event, flowers were traditionally laid at the monument in honor of 58 local residents who died fighting the German fascist invaders during the Great Patriotic War.

The honorary right to light the torch was granted to the Chairman of the Regional Executive Committee Alexander Subbotin, Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration Alexander Egorov, Minister of Energy of Belarus Alexei Kushnarenko, First Deputy General Director of Beltopgaz State Production Association Dmitry Shavlovsky, and Chairman of the Glubokoye District Executive Committee Alexander Shubsky.

– Gasification not only erases the line between village and city in terms of communal comfort but is also one of the most important life benefits, creating prerequisites for improving the quality of life and modernizing production, – noted Alexander Subbotin.

The head of the region presented the Certificate of Honor of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee to Konstantin Mazurov, chief engineer of the GlubokoyeGaz production department of Vitebskoblgaz Unitary Enterprise, and the Gratitude of the Chairman of the Regional Executive Committee to Sergey Sergeev, a fitter for control and measuring instruments and automation of the PolotskGaz production department of Vitebskoblgaz Unitary Enterprise.

A number of high industry awards were presented to the workers by the heads of republican and regional departments.

Irina Fedkovich, a resident of the Lomashi agro-town, thanked the gas workers and the regional leadership on behalf of all residents of the agro-town.

In terms of gas pipeline construction rates and volumes, the Vitebsk region ranks among the leading places in the republic. This has largely become possible thanks to the state policy aimed primarily at developing socially significant infrastructure in rural areas.
