The Vitebsk region Media Center discussed issues of the upcoming unified information day

В Медиацентре Витебской области обсудили вопросы предстоящего единого дня информирования
In anticipation of each unified information day, it has been decided to organize meetings where specific examples related to various spheres of life in the Vitebsk region will be presented. The presentations by specialized experts should help members of the regional executive committee's information groups to thoroughly understand the topic, so that they can subsequently explain its nuances to the region's population in an accessible manner and competently answer any questions.

On the eve of the electoral campaign, the role of unified information days is particularly increasing, emphasized Marina Novitskaya, Head of the Main Department of Ideological Work and Youth Affairs of the Regional Executive Committee. And during their conduct, lecturers should not just present statistics, but reach out to people. Therefore, such a decision was made: to provide the ideological aktiv with the opportunity, with the help of industry specialists, to delve into a particular sphere of activity, based on the realities of the Vitebsk region, and to arm themselves with specific figures and facts.

The upcoming topic of the information day was: "Demographic security is the foundation of societal prosperity, the main condition for state development." Based on this, the meeting held at the Regional Media Center discussed medical care, prevention of various diseases and bad habits, the importance of participating in medical examinations and immunization, the formation of a healthy lifestyle, and state support for families with children. The speakers were Lyudmila Kovalyova, Deputy Head of the Main Department for Healthcare of the Regional Executive Committee, and Elena Kharkevich, Chief Specialist of the Committee for Labor, Employment, and Social Protection of the Regional Executive Committee. They not only spoke about the implementation of important state programs but also specified what opportunities are currently available to the residents of Pridvinye. Much contributes to improving the demographic situation, increasing life expectancy, and quality of life – from early diagnosis and successful treatment of diseases to a broad system of benefits for families with children. People should know the potential that both Belarus as a whole and the Vitebsk region in particular possess today. However, at the same time, it is necessary to understand that not every country has such a high level of social support.
