A memorandum of cooperation between Orsha District and the Chinese city of Yiwu was signed in Minsk

The multimodal industrial and logistics complex "Bremіno-Orsha" in the urban settlement of Bolbasovo is a large-scale investment project. It was from here, from the construction site, that the honorable guests began their acquaintance with the region. Vasily Dementey, head of "Bremіno Group" LLC, said that the area near Bolbasovo has a unique geographical location. On one side, there is a branch of the Orsha railway hub, on the other, the airfield of the Orsha Aircraft Repair Plant. The Trans-European transport corridors "West-East" and "North-South" - highways M1/E30 and M8/E95 - also intersect here. Plus, it is close to the border of the Russian Federation.
In the future, warehouse and production facilities, an intermodal terminal with a container yard, as well as service enterprises will be located on two sites with a total area of 230 hectares. The commissioning of the first phase of the facility is planned for 2018. The project is being implemented within the framework of Decree No. 334 of the President of the Republic of Belarus dated July 21, 2015. The MPLK "Bremіno-Orsha" is designed to service logistics chains.
With the participation of Oleg Matskevich, First Deputy Chairman of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee, and Sergey Yurkevich, Head of the Administration of the FEZ "Vitebsk", representatives of the Chinese delegation discussed in detail the prospects for further cooperation in creating an international trading city of Chinese goods on the territory of the future logistics complex.

A meeting between the Chinese delegation and Chairman Alexander Poznyak, as well as a tasting of products from local producers, took place at the district executive committee. The abundance of bakery products was presented by one of the oldest enterprises in Orsha – the "Orsha Bakery" branch of OJSC "Vitebskhlebprom". The guests were pleasantly surprised by the assortment of biscuit products manufactured at the youngest enterprise in the district – the "Sladkaya Strana" branch of State Enterprise "Confectionery Factory "Vitba". The Orsha Meat Canning Plant is the largest producer of meat, meat-and-vegetable, and fish-and-vegetable canned goods for baby food and general consumption in the country. The largest agro-industrial complex OJSC "Vitebsk Broiler Poultry Farm" also organized a presentation of its enterprise for the Chinese delegation.
The guests enjoyed the healthy, natural products of OJSC "Orsha Dairy Plant".
The delegation from China highly appreciated the ice cream and cheeses produced by OJSC "Orsha Cheese Factory".

At the district executive committee, Chairman Alexander Poznyak warmly welcomed the guests and spoke about the region's potential. Significant steps have been taken in recent years to engage with partners from China. For example, the Orsha Flax Mill cooperates very closely with the PRC. In order to implement the innovative project "Develop and Create a Production of an Intelligent System for Managing the Spraying Process of Agricultural Crops," LLC NPP "Belama Plus" has concluded contracts for the purchase of equipment with residents of the PRC. In the third quarter of 2017, the first residential building in Orsha on V. Zavadsky Street, built with the technical and economic assistance of China, was commissioned. In 2016, a "Rock Garden" was opened at Secondary School No. 16 with the participation of the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of China to the Republic of Belarus, Mr. Cui Qiming, and this year – a modern language laboratory.
In turn, Xiaozhong Chen briefly described the city of Yiwu, Zhejiang Province. The city has a population of almost two million people. Yiwu is one of the key trading platforms for foreign organizations.
Since the concept of creating the multimodal industrial and logistics complex "Bremeno-Orsha" provides for the development of the commercial sector with the organization of a trade center, guests from China discussed the prospects for cooperation in this particular area in detail. The implementation of a joint project with Chinese partners from the city of Yiwu will allow the realization of the "One Belt - One Road" concept, concentrating in Belarus the товарные потоки (goods flows) currently distributed among Poland, Lithuania, and Russia.
