In Minsk, the uniform for service student teams for the II European Games was presented
"We held the first working meeting and seminar with the participants of the capital's student service teams. More than 300 people took part in it. We discussed the most important issues related to the work of student teams during the II European Games. These include the dates, types, and conditions of work that our members will perform, delivery to the place of deployment, and preparation of the guys for work in service teams. The uniform for student service teams was presented. It uses a classic style, with white, blue, and black colors, and is decorated with the Games' logo. Two versions of the uniform have been developed: with short and long sleeves," Sergey Kishevich said. According to him, commanders and commissars of the student teams were elected during the meeting.
"Ten student service teams will work at the II European Games. Initially, there were talks about seven, but we decided to form three more. They will be formed based on the labor affairs headquarters at the primary organizations of the youth union of BSU, BNTU, Minsk State Linguistic University, Minsk State College of Service Industry, and will be involved in providing food for the participants of the European Games," the city committee secretary noted.
The salary of each member from June 15 to July 3 will be about Br500, depending on the scope of work.
In addition, today the guys met their curators from the enterprise CUP "Business Center "Stolitsa," which will act as the catering operator for the II European Games, and communicated with representatives of the Directorate of the European Games.
The meeting also discussed the further formation of a fan club based on the Chizhovka-Arena multifunctional cultural and entertainment sports complex. "The club has already been established. It includes representatives of higher and secondary specialized education institutions of the capital from all districts. These are young people who are interested in sports and want to express themselves and contribute to the games in this way. They will be active supporters of Belarusian athletes during the competitions, and we hope that such support will help our compatriots win," added Sergey Klishevich.
Since the II European Games fall during the examination period, student work brigade participants will have their deadlines for submitting tests and exams postponed. Non-resident students will be provided with places in dormitories. The II European Games will be held in Minsk from June 21 to 30, 2019, at 12 sports venues.
