In Miory, a rescue station was commissioned and the embankment reconstruction was completed
The team of Miory rescuers, as noted at the ceremony by the chairmen of the republican and regional organizations of OSVOD, Anvar Igamberdiev and Alexander Myasoedov, is considered one of the best in the region. They carry out extensive work among the population to prevent drowning, participate in rescuing those in distress, and searching for the bodies of drowned people. The statistics they provided indicate the seriousness of this work: in recent years, the number of drownings in the country has decreased by more than three times. This has been facilitated, in part, by the strengthening of the material and technical base of rescue services and the growth of employee professionalism.
To ensure that the Miory rescuers have a good material base, as noted by the chairman of the district executive committee, Igor Kuznetsov, the regional and district executive committees, and other services have taken care of it. Although the construction was somewhat delayed, the result is good, for which the head of the district thanked the builders of OOO "Kapitaldrevprodukt" and its head, Alexander Laputsevich, as well as representatives of other organizations and services involved in this city-wide endeavor.
On this day, there were many awardees, many joyful smiles, congratulatory speeches, and wishes. The long-awaited launch of the rescue station took place.
The team received a spacious building that houses a medical station, a training classroom, premises for storing diving equipment, and facilities for monitoring the lake's waters – a new optical device. Their rescue fleet has been replenished with a high-speed boat, a motorboat, and rowing boats.
– We will do everything in our power to ensure that tragedies on the water occur as rarely as possible, and even better, that they never happen, – emphasized the head of the rescue station, Oleg Rubanik.
