A metallurgical plant is being built in the Miory district

Earthworks have already begun. 40 hectares of land have been allocated for the workshops of the new enterprise, where tinplate and sheet metal will be produced, approximately 2.5 km from the railway station.

The large-scale innovative and import substitution project is being implemented by OOO “MMZP-Group”. The construction is scheduled to be completed by the beginning of 2016, with another two years allocated for commissioning and reaching the design capacity of 250 thousand tons. Tinplate is widely used in many industries and is currently entirely purchased abroad. The implementation of this project will not only eliminate imports but also allow for export of products.

The plant will create 500 jobs. In parallel with the construction of the plant, the investor plans to build housing for specialists. The total cost of the investment project exceeds 200 million euros.
