В новом формате подвели итоги третьего трудового семестра области в Витебске
The summing up of the third work semester and the honoring of the best student detachments of the Vitebsk region took place at the Maestro art cafe in Vitebsk.

— This year, about 5,200 people worked in construction, agricultural, pedagogical, environmental, and service student detachments, — said Victoria Kuzheleva, commissar of the Vitebsk Regional Headquarters of Student Detachments. — Young people participated in the All-Belarusian Youth Construction Project, the construction of socially significant facilities in the region, were involved in landscaping, and also worked in health camps. In addition, for the first time in a long time, the only student agricultural detachment in the republic from our region went to harvest crops in Moldova. On the territory of the Russian Federation, the fighters worked as part of pedagogical, service, and construction detachments.

— The summing up of the work semester always takes place in a warm, friendly atmosphere, — noted Viktor Glushin, Deputy Chairman of the Vitebsk City Executive Committee. — And this is no coincidence: a student detachment is a big family with common goals and interests. It is noteworthy that today's honoring takes place in the jubilee year of the 100th anniversary of the Komsomol and the 55th anniversary of Belarusian student detachments. In the Vitebsk region, which leads the country in organizing the student detachment movement, the continuity of generations is especially felt.

As part of the event, the best fighters of the region's student detachments were able to communicate with veterans of the movement – Boris Ryklin, eight-time commander of zonal headquarters, and Vyacheslav Makarevsky, the first commissar of an outbound construction detachment to Kazakhstan in 1963, who handed over a personal set of badges from 1968-1991 to the museum of the Vitebsk Regional Committee of the BRSM.

– In life, it is very important to find your calling, a job that is interesting for a person and useful for the state, – is convinced Gennady Egorov, head of the main department of ideological work and youth affairs of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee. – It is gratifying that young people strive to bring good to their country.

The First Secretary of the Vitebsk Regional Committee of the BRSM, Vyacheslav Khrol, congratulated the activists of the Vitebsk region on their labor successes, wished them new achievements and worthy results at the republican level.

For Svetlana Lyovkina, a student at Vitebsk State University named after P. Masherov, and the commander of the pedagogical team "NLO", four shifts at the "Komsomolsky" camp (one of nine in the "Orlyonok" children's center, Russian Federation) became her first experience working with schoolchildren.

– There was a wonderful team spirit, a high level of organization for children's recreation – I didn't want to go home, – admitted the girl. – It wasn't easy at first, but thanks to good preparation and the help of colleagues on site, I coped with the difficulties.

Andrey Khudobkin, the commander of the student agricultural team "Syabry" named after the Komsomol hero Yefrosinya Zenkova, has many impressions from his trip to Moldova.

– We harvested peaches, plums, watermelons, and grapes on the territory of the "Pobeda" collective farm, – he said. – It was difficult for unprepared city dwellers to work in the fields. Fortunately, the management and workers of the collective farm helped, trained us, and on weekends, they organized trips to nature and treated us to national cuisine.

The members of the student construction team "Evrika" named after the Hero of the Soviet Union V. Eronko worked on the construction of the Belarusian Nuclear Power Plant.

– Responsibility, diligence, cohesion, and striving for the set goal – this is the key to success in teamwork, – is convinced the commander of the student team Ivan Savchenko.
