The 1000th child born this year has been registered in Novopolotsk

On October 28, the 1000th child born in Novopolotsk this year was registered at the Civil Registry Office of the Novopolotsk City Executive Committee.

The happy parents are the Ponomarev family (mother — Marina, a district pediatrician at the children's polyclinic, father — Vitaly, works at OJSC "NefteZavodMontazh").

In a solemn ceremony, the Ponomarev family was congratulated by the Chairman of the Novopolotsk City Executive Committee, Dmitry Demidov.

Dmitry Vladimirovich noted: "I am convinced that there is no more important event in a family's life than the birth of a child. I wish you to raise a worthy person who will become the pride of his parents, a true patriot of our Motherland — the Republic of Belarus. Health, happiness, peace, and well-being to your family."

For 4 years now, Novopolotsk has seen an increase in the number of newborns (in 2011 — 970; in 2012 — 1119; in 2013 — 1132; in 2014 — 1182).
