In OJSC "Krasny Oktyabr" of the "Marko" holding, a workshop for the production of footwear from the "Komfort" line has been put into operation.

At the open joint-stock company "Krasny Oktyabr", part of the "Marko" leather and footwear holding, a workshop for the production of "Comfort" line footwear, corresponding to its specialization, has been put into operation.

Nikolay Martynov, General Director of the holding's management company, reported that the former rubber products warehouse premises have been reconstructed for current production tasks. It has been extended by half, insulated, the roof and floor have been replaced, supply and exhaust ventilation has been installed, and a production conveyor has been set up. People work here in good conditions. About 30 billion rubles have been invested in the reconstruction.

The "Krasny Oktyabr" team is set to increase the production of inexpensive, high-quality footwear by 10 percent this year, with further increases to follow. This is one of the stages in the implementation of a large-scale investment project to develop leather and fur production and increase footwear output to 5 million pairs per year, which is being realized by the "Marko" holding. It should be recalled that it was established by Decree of the President of Belarus No. 467 of October 14, 2013.
