In the Orsha district, more than 80 km of roads will be repaired by the end of the year
"Capital repairs of about 24 km of roads and 170 linear meters of bridges, as well as current repairs of over 60 km of roads and 276 linear meters of bridges are planned," the press service said.
Capital repairs on sections of the R76 Orsha - Shklov - Mogilev and M8/E95 Russia border - Vitebsk - Gomel - Ukraine border highways will be completed in November. Construction and installation work on the bridge across the Derna River on the R15 Krichev - Orsha - Lepel road is ongoing.
As for current repairs, as of October, work has been completed on over 60 km of roads and 240 linear meters of bridges.
Measures are also being taken to improve the material and technical base of republican organizations. "They are aimed at maintaining roads, bridges, and overpasses in proper transport and operational condition, increasing road freight traffic, and improving road safety," the press service explained.
As noted by the Ministry of Transport, the work is being carried out in accordance with the Presidential decree and a set of measures to implement the development program for the Orsha district until 2023.
