In the Orsha district, a large dairy farm is planned to be launched by the end of the year

A large dairy farm "Kupalinka" is planned to be commissioned near the village of Chernoe, Orsha district, by the end of the current year, said Alexander Firsin, Director of OAO Agrokombinat "Yubileiny".

"Kupalinka" includes three cow barns, a milking parlor, an administrative building, and silage trenches. Recently, specialists from the Swedish company DeLaval installed modern carousel-type milking parlor equipment for 60 stalls. The installation has high productivity and will be designed for 2,000 cows per day. A scraper system for cleaning cow barns will also be installed here. The modern complex will house 1.8 thousand heads of dairy herd and about 2.3 thousand heifers and young stock.

"The complex's equipment will provide not only modern milking approaches and animal care systems but also control over milk quality and cow health. Essentially, a milk production factory is being built," noted Alexander Firsin. "The innovative project will allow the enterprise to develop the livestock industry and milk production at a qualitatively new level. By 2025, we expect to increase milk production to 60-70 tons per day (currently 45 tons)."

The project implementation will cost Br43 million (20% own funds, the rest is a loan from the Development Bank of Belarus). The construction of the complex is being carried out under Decree No. 506 "On the Development of Orsha District". After launch, about 70 residents of nearby villages will work at Kupalinka. The dairy farm is designed to produce over 20 thousand tons of milk per year.
