Production of frozen vegetables and berries will be launched in the Orsha district in May
The "Teplichny" branch of RUE "Vitebskenergo" (Orsha district) will launch the production of frozen vegetables and berries in the second quarter, the branch director Pavel Fominov told reporters.
The investment project worth Br17.1 million is being implemented in the village of Orekhovsk. Currently, the installation of technological equipment is underway in the new workshop, including refrigeration units with a total storage volume of 890 tons. The first batch of products is planned to be obtained here in May. The capacity of the line with a single-shift operation is up to 2 thousand tons of frozen products per year. At the same time, its capabilities allow for the production of various mixtures, up to nine components. "Teplichny" plans to use raw materials for freezing, including its own production. The products will be sold primarily on the domestic market, however, export opportunities are being explored. Pavel Fominov noted that the modernization of the canning section of the product processing workshop, carried out in 2018, has become an important project for the enterprise. Partial updating of technological equipment allowed to increase the production volume here in monetary terms from Br180 thousand to Br280 thousand, and to achieve a sales profitability of 6.8%. The range of products includes salted and sauerkraut seasonal products, including in vacuum packaging (sauerkraut, salted dill, salted tomatoes, salted cucumbers), canned vegetables (tomato juice, pickled vegetables), fruit and berry preserves (pureed with sugar), juices and drinks. "Taking into account global environmental trends, a glass bottling line for products has been installed in the juice production section of the workshop. For this, we use domestic glass containers with a capacity of 0.75 liters. The total annual production volume of juices in them is 86 thousand bottles. The product line includes birch juice in various flavors, tomato juice, orange, mango, pineapple, apple-orange, apple-grape, grapefruit," the head said.
Among other significant projects of the enterprise is the construction of a robotic farm for 1.2 thousand heads of cattle in
in the village of Stayki, which will increase the share of livestock products in the total structure of "Teplichnoye" production from 20% to 30%. The financing of the project worth Br21.5 million is carried out through the own funds of "Vitebskenergo" and credit resources of the Development Bank. The commissioning of the facility is scheduled for November 2019. The implementation of the project will create 33 new jobs.
