Film editing, photography, and sound recording studio. Such a laboratory has been opened in Orsha at the IT academy "Kompas".

In the new "Media Studio," schoolchildren will be taught the basics of television journalism. Primarily, the training in the laboratory is aimed at mastering competencies in creating and editing digital content, and skills in working with copyright on the internet.

– Orsha is an important center for IT education of the High-Tech Park. In addition to its core activities, HTP has an important function – supporting education. After all, this is the foundation without which neither companies nor successes and results in the digital sphere would be possible, – noted the Director of the High-Tech Park Vsevolod Yanchevsky. – We support many educational projects in universities and schools. Media has always played a huge role in society, and now with the development of the internet, it plays an even greater role. And this role will only increase over time. And when learning brings pleasure, when a person enjoys what they are doing, the best results are achieved. The fact that our residents can help with this is good for the country as a whole. When there is good education, there are well-trained specialists, then there is business, there is export, and there are results.

The Director of HTP expressed a wish to the schoolchildren – that all learning be a joy.

The Chairman of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee, Alexander Subbotin, took part in the solemn opening ceremony of the "Media Studio."

– Teaching children the basics of television journalism will help develop digital television and bring it to a new level, – emphasized the head of the region. – The children who will create here will be able to shape themselves and their future profession.

Anna Krasovskaya, a student of Gymnasium No. 1, said that the media center is already operating as part of the gymnasium's self-government.

– On our platforms, we post objective operational information, publish a print newspaper, and post news on our social media pages. And we even have our own gymnasium television, "Nashe TV," – stated the schoolgirl.

Andrei Zagursky, Head of the Education Department of the Orsha District Executive Committee, stated that Orsha is the starting point for the Hi-Tech Park in the Vitebsk region. – It was here that two educational projects of the High-Tech Park, "Programming in the Scratch Environment" and "Computer Science without a Socket," were first piloted and subsequently successfully scaled.

– And in 2021, the Center for Youth Entrepreneurship Support and the "Kompas" FabLab workshop were launched at the Orsha District Center for Children and Youth Technical Creativity. The Center was established in partnership with the High-Tech Park within the framework of the international technical assistance project "Support for Local Economic Development in the Republic of Belarus" (responsible government body – Ministry of Economy), funded by the EU and implemented by the UNDP. The Center is an innovative model of an educational environment, fully focused on developing practical skills and entrepreneurial thinking in students.

The "Kompas" Children's IT Academy was opened with the support of the High-Tech Park on April 22, 2016, at the Orsha District Center for Children and Youth Technical Creativity, and became the fourth regional IT academy opened with the assistance of the Hi-Tech Park.

Initially, training at the IT academy was conducted in a specially equipped classroom in three areas: basics of programming in Scratch, introduction to robotics, and basics of computer graphics.

Currently, there are 3 laboratories operating here: "Computer Networks and Telecommunications," "Robotics and Neuro-Piloting," and "3D Modeling and Computer Graphics." All of them are equipped with modern technology and equipment, where schoolchildren study programming, system administration, computer graphics, and engage in 3D modeling and robotics.

Additionally, at the IT Academy, students are provided with the opportunity to independently manufacture necessary items and parts for their projects using the available equipment in the small "FabLab" workshop. In the 2021-2022 academic year, the "Kompas" IT Academy organized 39 clubs focused on information technology for over 600 students aged 5 to 18. The educational process is carried out by 10 educators.
