A Center for Youth Entrepreneurship Support and a 'FabLab' workshop have been opened in Orsha
The activities of the CSYE will ensure the development of a system for working with youth interested in acquiring skills and knowledge in IT technologies and developing their own businesses. Here, they can also complete additional education courses in the fields of "Fundamentals of Entrepreneurship", "Fundamentals of Business Planning", "Programming in Python and Web Programming", "System Administration", "Programming Arduino Microcontrollers", "3D Modeling", "Computer Graphics, Animation and Video Editing Basics", as well as "Smart City" and "Startup Academy".
During the grand opening of the CSYE and the FabLab entrepreneurial workshop, Sergey Mityansky expressed confidence that such initiatives are necessary and important for young people.
– Entrepreneurship is the driver of economic growth in regions and a source of innovation, – emphasized the Deputy Minister. – The state consistently creates conditions for activating entrepreneurial initiative and is interested in the dynamic growth of the contribution of SMEs to the country's economy. A special vector of work is youth entrepreneurship. Working with young people, engaging their energy in the business environment, and supporting such endeavors is one of the state's tasks. After all, youth is the driving force. There are many gifted and active young people who want to contribute to the development of society and the state. We cannot miss a single one of them; we must guide, train, direct, and support their innovative ideas, and give them creative freedom. And we, on the part of the state, must be ready to create such conditions so that this entrepreneurial initiative benefits them, their small homeland like Orsha, and the country as a whole.
Following the ribbon-cutting ceremony, an excursion was held through the laboratories of the Youth Entrepreneurship Support Center (YESC) and the "FabLab" workshop. Programs for additional education in IT and entrepreneurship, implemented by the YESC, were presented.
As for the "FabLab" entrepreneurship workshop, anyone can engage in activities here – all the necessary equipment and tools for creating one's own project are available. In such a laboratory, one can 3D print, saw, cut, assemble, and craft something new from scratch. The workshop also features a plotter, which can be used to produce components for stands and banners.
We remind you that the Center was established as part of the local initiative "Creation and Development of a Youth Entrepreneurship Support Center in Orsha" in partnership with the Educational Institution "Orsha District Center for Technical Creativity of Children and Youth," the Department of Education of the Orsha District Executive Committee, as well as the High-Tech Park and the "Bremeno-Orsha" Multimodal Industrial and Logistics Complex. Residents of the High-Tech Park will cooperate with the YESC in conducting educational courses, and "Bremeno-Orsha" will organize practical training sessions for the center's students at its facilities, where young people will be able to familiarize themselves with the practical aspects of business operations by resident enterprises of "Bremeno-Orsha." The initiative is implemented by the Belarusian Public Association "Development – XXI Century" within the framework of the project "Support for Local Economic Development in the Republic of Belarus." The project is funded by the European Union and implemented by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in partnership with the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Belarus.
