A military-patriotic club was opened in Orsha under the auspices of the Internal Affairs Directorate

В Орше открыли военно-патриотический клуб под эгидой УВД
In Orsha, with the participation of the Minister of Internal Affairs of Belarus, Lieutenant General of Militia Ivan Kubrakov, the military-patriotic club "Zubr" was solemnly opened. It was created on the basis of the local secondary school No. 9 with the support of the internal affairs department of the Orsha District Executive Committee.

The club's members are 11 boys and 10 girls from the 6th, 8th, and 9th grades. Before putting on the "Zubr" uniform, which differs only in nuances from the real police uniform, the schoolchildren underwent a rigorous selection process. The children began preparing for the ceremony of awarding the banner and membership certificates in the club from the beginning of the current academic year.

The military-patriotic association appeared at school No. 9 not by chance, said its director Valentina Polyakova:

– Our educational institution has been cooperating with the district internal affairs department for a long time. This year, our law enforcement unit became the best in the Vitebsk region. Recently, we also won the district competition of agitation teams of young friends of the militia. Soon, our high school students will defend the honor of their native district and educational institution at the regional stage of this competition.

The idea of creating the club originated last spring when we signed a cooperation agreement with the Internal Affairs Department of the Orsha District Executive Committee. The personality of the former head of the department, Sergey Konstantinovich Barvyankov, who, unfortunately, is no longer with us, played a significant role in this. But the memory of his high professional and human qualities lives on and serves as a guide for the "Zubr" trainees.

Today, there are more people who want to attend classes in the club than its current participants, noted Valentina Polyakova. School No. 9 offers legal-oriented clubs, and a separate room has been created with an exhibition dedicated to the history of law enforcement agencies.
