A plant for the production of seamless steel cylinders was opened in Orsha
More than 5 million euros have been invested in the creation of the enterprise. The industrial potential of the new production is designed for an annual output of over 53 thousand seamless steel cylinders with a volume of 10 to 100 liters and a working pressure of 200-450 bar. The products are intended for the transportation and storage of compressed, liquefied, and dissolved industrial gases used in various industries. The enterprise will also provide services for cylinder rental, diagnostics, repair, and re-equipment.
Cylinders-Bel LLC intends to reach its design capacity in 2022. Almost the entire volume of manufactured products (about 97%) will be exported through the sales network of Cylinders Holding JSC. "For example, to Russia, where, as marketing research shows, the demand for seamless steel cylinders will reach 4 million units in the next few years, which local manufacturers will not be able to fully meet," BMZ OJSC noted.
The new production, which has created 43 jobs in Orsha, was deployed on the territory of Legmash Plant OJSC, occupying more than 3 thousand square meters of unused space. About 200 tons of equipment have now been installed here for all necessary technological operations: from external processing of incoming cylinder blanks, threading and pressing the neck ring to ultrasonic inspection, marking, and applying a protective coating to the product surface.
LLC "Cylinders-Bel" is a resident of the "Vitebsk" Free Economic Zone. Its founders are the Czech joint-stock company "Cylinders Holding" and OJSC "BMZ" - the management company of the "BMK" holding. "This is not the first project involving foreign investment that a Belarusian company is implementing on the unused premises of the "Legmash" plant. In 2014, the only enterprise in Belarus for the production of high-pressure hoses, JV "Manuli Hydraulics Manufacturing Bel", established jointly with the Italian company Manuli Rubber Industries s.p.a., began operating here," added OJSC.
